Most of us know of a family member or a friend who has started a business. Just as we are rooting for them to succeed, we feel a connection with other small businesses to succeed.
Small companies appeal to our humanity. It's in our nature to help.
Small businesses reciprocate in kind (or atleast we do)! We put so much love into the designs we create, t-shirts we make and orders we fill. You just can't get that from a larger scaled company that has assembly lines or machines doing the work.
Small businesses appreciate you, more than you know! With out you, many of us with dreams of owning a business, would not have the opportunity to see our vision come to life.
Be someone that brings hopefulness to small business owners in this unpredictable world!

For example, take the 90s! Are you grunge? Are you preppy? The first impression somebody had of you were your clothes!
Fast forward to the 2000's and most people have tattoos, piercings, and crazy hair styles that add to that first impression.
Today, we have an even more drastic approach to not just make an impression but to let everyone know our beliefs/personality by first glance. Statements on our clothing!
Slogans for campaigns and companies have always been around...but now every individual can broadcast their opinions on their chest. It is a powerful way to get a message out there.
Whether it be a joke on your chest, a statement about veganism, an anti-war statement, or a coffee quote, these statements say a lot about who you are!
We live in such an exciting time with social media, that it's easy to write or video our thoughts and make an impact. I believe that having statements on your clothing is just as powerful! When you wear it in public, it's like you're sending a DM to everybody you pass!
Have a statement in mind but don't see it on my store? Comment or email me at: sunrayclothing@mail.com. I would love to make a custom order and help you make your statement!

]]>With the New Year, came some inspiration! I have struggled with advertising recently and I realized that if I was not excited to look at my store, why would a stranger either?!
One late night, I made a pot of tea and got to work. Once my vision started to come together, it all flowed into what you see now.
OLD NEW

I genuinely did not think that I could make such a difference so quickly! Although it obviously did not fix my advertising predicament, it gave me a lot of motivation to show off my store. Maybe that's all I really needed!
Thanks for reading, check back in soon ;)

]]>Writing to you from the woods in Morrison, IL where the magic happens (order fulfillment, of course).
As this is the first (of many) blog posts, I should probably start from the beginning and a bit of my life story (it's complicated).
This is me in a hostel in Thailand:
(thought you'd appreciate a photo of me in my natural habitat)
Sunray Clothing came about with the intention of travelling and personal growth. I always knew I wasn't a 9-5 girl (nothing wrong with it, just not for me) and creating my own brand seemed like an achievable goal.
Personally, I was going through a difficult time (like most girls in their early 20's) and dreaming of becoming a successful business owner really gave me a positive direction. I pretty much willed into existence my Etsy stores and started selling!
Oh, by the way, the year was 2016. Between my first sale and now, I've travelled to over 10 different countries and have been totally living in the moment! This website (along with selling on Etsy, Amazon & Ebay) has given me the life I always knew I wanted but wasn't sure how to get there.
I'm slowly, but surely, refining my store and (obviously) starting this blog 2 years after the beginning. All the travel has certainly lit a fire under me (figuratively, promise I'm not on fire right now) and I'm super motivated to share my story and keep branding and rebranding and rebranding my store as I rebrand myself!
I've also started an Instagram: @sunrayclothing (maybe there is a way to add my link? I'm new at this!)
Please show some love!
